Since a lot of people do their searching while they are still living in the United States, I can help make this easy.  When you get here, I’ll have appointments scheduled and days planned out, I’ll make it easy for you to find the house you are looking for.  If you tried to do this yourself you would go crazy.  Most properties don’t have owners in them because they are vacation rentals.  Also if you just walk into an office and don’t plan ahead they can’t just get you in the properties because we don’t have a lock box system like they do in the USA either.  So we need a day to contact the owners and set everything up.

The hardest part about purchasing real estate in Costa Rica is that it just isn’t organized.  This isn’t like the United States where you can just pull up listings with the MLS.  It requires some work, and to find a property, you want help so that you don’t have to spend your whole vacation just trying to figure out how to get in the homes you want to look at.
