It is my job as a Coldwell Banker realtor to help find the best areas for retirees in Jaco Costa Rica. There are so many different places that you can choose from. It all really depends on three factors: the climate, the price, and the infrastructure. I will help you understand the factors that you need to pick out the best property for you.
There are so many different weather patterns in Costa Rica. Even though it is a small country, the weather can be completely different just a few yards away. Generally, when you live near the beach, it is very warm. Since it is so close to the equator, the beaches are meant to be that way, and average about 85 degrees. However, if you move into the valleys, it gets much cooler, and is far less humid. For even cooler weather, head to the mountains, but expect more rain.
Different areas come with different price stickers, and there is real estate all over the map in terms of cost. If you want the beach, you are going to pay for it. It is very popular and very hard to get your hands on. But, know that you will also pay premium prices to live near the city. Your best choices, if you are looking for affordability are to live about an hour from the city, they are most affordable there.
Also, be sure you understand the infrastructure. If you want to be near the mall or the hospital, you are going to have to live in town. If you don’t like narrow, windy roads, then the mountains aren’t for you. Also, if you like your cell phone and internet, you are going to be tied down to a certain area.
When deciding where to live in Costa Rica, be sure to understand the climate, cost, and infrastructure. These three factors will help you find the best area to fit you. I can work with you to assess your needs and wants and find out the best choices for you. Have a great day and I look forward to helping you with all your Costa Rica real estate needs.

Buying a Home in Costa Rica

It is time to stop stressing out about buying a home in Jaco Costa Rica. I’m here to help and take out all the guess work. You really need that local connection when you start looking in Costa Rica, and even more important, you need someone you can trust. The great thing about Coldwell Banker Vesta Group Jaco is that we can be trusted and we have the local knowledge. We have 12 offices in Costa Rica. You should know us well from the states, and we still provide the same great service here in Costa Rica. If you don’t believe me just check out our testimonials.
Since a lot of people do their searching while they are still living in the United States, I can help make this easy. When you get here, I’ll have appointments scheduled and days planned out, I’ll make it easy for you to find the house you are looking for. If you tried to do this yourself you would go crazy. Most properties don’t have owners in them because they are vacation rentals. Also if you just walk into an office and don’t plan ahead they can’t just get you in the properties because we don’t have a lock box system like they do in the USA either. So we need a day to contact the owners and set everything up.
The hardest part about purchasing real estate in Costa Rica is that it just isn’t organized. This isn’t like the United States where you can just pull up listings with the MLS. It requires some work, and to find a property, you want help so that you don’t have to spend your whole vacation just trying to figure out how to get in the homes you want to look at. You need a professional that understands the ins and outs of the area. I have been in the country for 5 years and we have been the Number 1 Coldwell Banker office in Costa Rica so we have the knowledge and experience to assist you.
Don’t attempt to buy a house or property in Costa Rica by yourself, do the right thing and hire a professional to help. The great things are that we don’t cost you anything. If you’ve always dreamt of retiring in the tropics, Costa Rica is ready and is waiting for you. So email us or give us a call so we can start your search for that perfect piece of Costa Rica real estate.
